My appearance on Who Wants to be a Millionaire
So
you've come across this website because either you know me or somehow
got directed to this website. If it's the latter, I'd love to
know what prompted you to come here, so feel free to email me at the
link below.
Anyway, if you don't know anything about me, here's
my (short?) biography. I grew up on the mean streets of Walpole,
Massachusetts in the Boston metro area until the age of fourteen when I
moved to Chandler, a suburb of Phoenix, AZ.
Lived in
Phoenix until I went to college at Purdue with aspirations of becoming
an airline pilot. Graduated in three and a half years and was
hired by Piedmont Airlines, operating as US Air Express. During
my short tenure at PIedmont, I lived in Syracuse, NY, by far the worst
place I've ever lived. Decided a change of scenery was needed
after only 4 months and was hired by ExpressJet. They operated as
Continental Express and Delta Connection at the time I was hired, but I
worked on the "branded" side, operating as ExpressJet Airlines.
About 18 months into my tenure there, the operation failed and
300+ pilots were laid off, including myself. It was at that point
I gave up on being an airline pilot and moved into a position in
management at US Airways, where I reside at present.
In other
information about me, I am a huge sports fan. Growing up in
Boston, you'd figure I'd be your stereotypical obnoxious
Sox/Pats/Bruins fan, but I went against the grain growing up and
decided to follow the Baltimore Orioles, Miami Dolphins and Phoenix
Coyotes (as I didn't get into hockey until I moved to Phoenix, go
figure). That being said, it's been a tough 15 years since any
of those teams were able to do anything, which is most likely why my
other domain is allmysportsteamssuck.com rather than allmysportsteamsaresuperrawesome.org.
And
I suppose that I should let you know that I'm a super genius. And
I mean that in the most modest way possible. Graduated as the
Salutatorian from Chandler High and then with highest honors from
Purdue. It was this massive brainpower that led me to appear on
Who Wants to be a Millionaire while I was in college. I won't
spoil it for you on how much I won, so click on the video at the top of
the page to see my appearance.
Other miscellaneous things you
did not know about me: I carried the olympic torch in the 2002
winter olympic relay through San Diego (along Balboa Park near the
world-famous zoo). I hold the Arizona High School Associations
unofficial record for most ejections from matches in a tennis career,
with 3. I'm banned from the Assembly Hall at University of
Illinois for life. I flew the last flight ever operated under the
brand name "ExpressJet Airlines" from Ontario, California to Tucson,
Arizona.
That's about all I have. To see what's
going on at present in my life, check out the "Life" tab. And of
course, see the link below to get in touch with me.
